Marketing your self by your achievements and your CV to reach out - Tool Slideshare

When I was to link my CV, exam, certificates and awards to my LinkedIn profile, I believed it was Boxnet that I could use. But trying it out, it was no longer supported :-(.
The replacement was Slideshare and I can say, that it is worth trying, when you want to reach out to more people, as it have its own search function to make you even more visible. It also work as an online storage for your files, used for marketing yourself.
I have uploaded: articles I have contributed to or commented in, my personal profile test, certificates, exam papers, my concept descriptions and of course my CV in the latest version.

Tool: www.slideshare.com

Tips:
It is important to use some time on the description of your material, and the keywords especially, if you want to use it as a platform for making yourself visible.
I recommend that you write this in word beforehand, as sometimes when typing, it does not allow you to go back and correct. Use copy paste from word, it will save you time.

My own collection of uploads for inspiration to be found at http://www.slideshare.net/KasperKronmannNielsen

You also get stats possibility but in order to really use it you have to pay for the extended service, sow fare I have not found it worth the money, but when I really began to have material it could be fun to really see if it had value. Please tell if you have tried out this part of Slideshare.

Remember that copyrights can be a problem and if you are not sure do not upload, at least prevent people from downloading by un-ticking this function for the document in doubt.

Releasing the power of your network - drive a change process

I went in the autumn 2012 to a Henley Masterclass session and was amazed about the way that the company "Innovisor" open up for the usage of your network, in a business context.

They actually leverage on their employees network within LinkedIn to explore new opportunities and to find the right entrance to potential clients. Concept called "Swarm the target".

If you have a major change process going to happen in the organisation, Innovisor showed, with a  case from Mærsk, how their tools (Not linkedIn) could be used to find the right ambassadors in the organisation to drive and support the change. It was a way of not just select the usual suspects identified by the Management, but about finding the one with real influence in the organisation and power to drive the change and in touch reach with the organisation to give the correct feedback to management during the process and not just what they liked to hear.

Take a look at their website www.innovisor.com alot of material to be found and if you are to make a bigger organisation change in your organisation, it could pay of the visit, if you need to know who to get on-board to get success with the change.

Turn you LinkedIn profile into a video CV

Yeasterday I went to a lecture about online marketing by Abelone Glahn and she show this very nice tool of turning your LinkedIn profile into an online video CV.

Tool: http://varldensbastacv.ledarna.se/

1. You start with changing language to english at the top right corne or continue with Swedish.
2. Connect your linkedIn profile with the tool and let it generate a draft video
3. See you first Video CV and learn how it usage your profile. Make note of strange verbal translations of your text pcitures and order of things. My name was to long eg. Kasper Kronmann Nielsen and I changed it to Kasper Nielsen to get a better flow.
4. Now you are ready to fine tune the video, right click on the video and select edit, the text and information used by the application are now able to be edited.

Tips:
Do not use / : in company names or other places. IT should be replaced by Information Technology as it is spelled out better. Select the pictures that represent the education or event best.

If you for fun would like to make a presentation of a friend or family member you need to make it the hard way and do it manually typing all.

NEW UPDATE 11-2-2013
I found out that you could take the code out of the Facebook sharing option and make your CV even better visual with a new link created inside the code.
See the result here
http://www.thewidgetfactory.se/load/varldensbastacv/campaigninstance/d5f6d657bf5318822803a547dbce590d/flash.swf

You need to go into the facebook update and view source. Here you then look for a link like above and test out if that was it. I had 3 in the code and it was the last one that gave the result wanted.
After getting this you can use bit.ly to make a short url to cirkulate. eg. http://bit.ly/WF15Nn
